Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat - Am Tunnel 04

Contemporary art gallery "Am Tunnel"

In 1987, Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat, Luxembourg (BCEE) decides to build a tunnel to link the Bank's four buildings situated on the "Bourbon plateau". Shortly after, the idea of transforming this tunnel into an art gallery came up. The work for carrying out this project was done in 1992 and 1993.

Since 1995, BCEE organizes several retrospective and/or thematic exhibitions a year in its contemporary art gallery "Am Tunnel". International itinerant exhibitions rotate with exhibitions made up of works of the Bank's important collection of contemporary Luxembourg art and its impressive collection of photography.
